Teaching in the digital age can prove to be a challenge for educators of any level or occupation. Keeping up with new technology, social media, and trends can be difficult, but it’s worth it to make your classroom more engaging to students. To make it easier, we’ve curated a list of people for you to follow on social media. From tech developers to teachers, all of these people are involved with education in some way, and their content is sure to spark your interest!

What Do We Do All Day? is an educational website/social media page run by Erica, a mother who decided her style of homeschooling just wasn’t working for her or her kids. Found on her website, Erica creates articles and lists of important things when it comes to keeping children engaged. The posts range from serious, such as books to help explain adoption to children; to playful, such as a list of indoor activities that are sure to keep kids active. Esther Brunat is a high school teacher with an amazing Instagram account! Not only does she post hilarious teaching memes, but she also features a ‘Story a Day’ on her story highlights. Her energy always brightens our days! She includes other tips and tricks to keep your classroom and students organized. Andrew Ng is an Adjunct Professor of Computer Science, teaching at Stanford University, as well as being the co-founder of Coursera. Coursera is an online resource for free video lectures, homework activities, and discussion forums! His social media consists of interesting articles and videos about education reform, learning techniques, and technological intelligence. Andrew Ng can be found on Twitter (@andrewyng) and Youtube.

Joy Resmovits is a reporter for the education section of The Huffington Post. Her main goal is to write about accommodations for disabled students, but she also features different educational topics and articles! We Heart Teaching gets in touch with the more creative and colorful side of teaching! Jana Guerra and Ashley Krause, the creators, have produced a collection of classroom organization ideas. Teaming up with Jordan Dunagan, a first grade teacher, they also created classroompinsperations on Instagram. Tom Whitby is an author and the founder of Edchat Interactive, an environment created to allow teachers to have discussions about all things education. His social media is a source for many educational resources, as it should be since he is the co-author of ‘The Relevant Educator,’ a book that helps teachers use social media to advance their networking.
