Michelle Keitz is the Business Development Manager for MI Write. In her six years with MI, she’s been in this role for the last three.

What do you love about your job?
I love that we are able to help students improve their writing skills, which will serve them well wherever their paths may lead. If you have good written communication skills, you have unlimited potential.

What has been the biggest obstacle in your career?
I am still not sure what I want to be when I grow up. I have been in educational sales for the past 22 years and before that, I was an ESL teacher with the Peace Corps in the Russian Far East. I knew that teaching wasn’t for me, but I still wanted to make a difference in the lives of children.

What is your degree in?
I have a B.A. in Government and International Studies.

What is the weirdest or most interesting job you’ve ever had? What made it weird or interesting?
I was a Bookseller for WaldenBooks all through college. Each year they had a window decorating contest for the winter holidays. We won every year, so eventually, they stopped having it, but I loved creating these beautiful windows for holiday shoppers. It really tapped into my creative side.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
On a 180-night world cruise with my husband as a reward for ourselves as our youngest son graduates from college.

What has been the hardest part of the COVID-19 pandemic for you?
Having patience with myself and my family.

What is your proudest accomplishment?
Being a wife and mom to great boys. I hope my husband and sons feel the same!

What is your favorite family recipe/tradition?
Marry someone who can cook for you. My husband would love to share his recipe for all my favorite recipes!

Evie Runberg has been a Client Success Specialist with MI for six years.

What do you love about your job?
Advocating for the client and working with a great team.

What is your degree in?
I have a B.A. in Psychology from UNC-Chapel Hill.

What is the weirdest or most interesting job you’ve ever had? What made it weird or interesting?
My most interesting job was modeling overseas. I was able to live in places where I never would have otherwise, like Japan and Greece.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
I see myself still working at MI and raising a healthy and happy family.

What has been the hardest part of the COVID-19 pandemic for you?
Not being able to go out and see friends and family whenever I want.

What is your proudest accomplishment?
Raising a wonderful little girl and we recently added another sweet girl in early January.

What is your favorite family recipe/tradition?
Our favorite family recipe is making chicken parmesan. It is so crispy and cheesy, you can’t go wrong. Yum! Crispy!
